COMMITMENT TO SAFETY

Coastal is committed to meeting all safety standards as well as implementing our own safety requirements. The purpose is to work together and share the culture of “Goal Zero”.

Before a new project begins our team will have completed all required safety and associated operational training. Employees will then be trained during the project with process, equipment, and hauling procedures specific to site operations. Research has shown that workers familiar with their environment have much higher safety records versus workers that were not adequately trained.

Safety is top our priority. Below are 5 core fundamentals of Coastal’s safety culture:

· Establish effective two-way communication.

· Respond to the needs and concerns of workers.

· Make sure management goes beyond the regulations to ensure a safe workplace.

· Encourage workers to go “beyond the call of duty” to ensure a safe workplace.

· Support a work environment that fosters integrity, trust, and after-action reviews (AARs) “close calls.”
